Hola

Hola! I hope all of my Missouri friends aren't melting from the crazy heat we have had. I looked at my indoor/outdoor digital temperature (nerd alert) about 6pm and it said 116 degrees! I think this will make me be on good behavior Hannah because I am afraid of how hot hell could be.. My priest made a kind of joke about this last weekend and he scared the devils out of me.. It is miserable to be outside.. More to follow on this later about our crazy AC. Anywho, I really had no concrete topics to blog about so I'm going to blog about my life. I promise I won't be the girl who blogs about every minute of her life. I won't be blogging about my grocery store trips unless they are relevant or funny. I told myself that I needed to make an attempt to think of some stuff to blog about today and here is the list I came up with. I included a photo so you can see I did do some major brainstorming all day today.. I hope you enjoy my post today!

First and foremost, I must tell you about the ordeal I had yesterday and Sunday with our air conditioning. The weather (no whether that drives me nuts!) here has been at least 100 degrees for basically the whole summer. We haven't had hardly any rain at all. Our governor declared Missouri a state of emergency this week and this wasn't a day too soon. It should also be noted that I am a complete baby about weather. I hate hot, I hate cold, I hate snow. Just my luck, on Sunday afternoon my air conditioning went out. It was still running (costing my money.. grr) but only blowing warm air. Now I am mechanically challenged but I think it was because someone was frozen or something in the big machine outside. I have no idea how anything could freeze as it is basically hell out there but whatever... I wasn't 100% sure if it was completely broken until I woke up on Monday morning sweating to death and it was 80+ degrees in my house. The only good thing about Monday morning was that hopefully I lost a few lbs in the process. I put Curt in charge of calling our landlord (one of the few times I am glad I rent.. pass that bill off to them.. Too bad I couldn't pass off the $100+ electric bill we had to them bc of their sucky ac unit....) and come out and fix it. They called him and he did some rocket science machine work before they came out and I was assured they fixed the problem.. WRONG! When I came home on 4:30 pm after work it was hotter than when I left for work! I have a rule in my life that I don't be mean/rude/hostile to people on the phone.. I shattered that rule on Monday afternoon when my landlord man/worker told me to sleep it off through the night and if it is still warm in he morning to call him back. I politely (you may want to insert a meaner word here but for the sake of my reputation, I will say politely) reminded him that I pay him rent and a reasonable person expects air conditioning on a 100+ summer day. I then informed him that I would gladly get the nicest hotel in town and charge it to his business along with not paying rent for the days lost here.. Let's just say my file is probably now flagged (sorry Jesus) but I did get the fixer man here and now I am sitting in my house with air conditioning. I will have to give a special thanks to my friend Phil for letting us use his apartment that evening to watch the Cardinals lose but stay cool. Random fact before I end my air conditioning story, Willis Carrier invented air conditioning in 1911 and it wasn't a day too soon. Okay, let's check a/c off of my list...

The Vow.. Curt was gone on Saturday night on a bachelor party which consisted of catching a 38lb catfish. I would upload a photo but I refuse to be that girl that shows off her man and frankly, I don't want a photo of a fish on my blog.. I decided to add some romance in my life since he was gone so naturally I rented a chick flick and Saturday night it was The Vow.. I ALMOST feel sorry for guys because us girls watch these movies and expect it to be real life.. We forget that these movies are fiction and not non-fiction. Now I know The Vow is based on a true story but my friend, Ericka, read the book and has informed me the movie is nothing like the movie.. The Notebook is also a movie that I want to tell women is fiction. Cut your man a break if he doesn't act like Noah from The Notebook. You will be happier if you know that if you really want romance or flowers, just buy it yourself or make sure your man is in communication with your best friend (hint, hint Kristin my anniversary is coming up soon...).. I enjoyed my girl night by myself on Saturday night with my chick flick. I enjoyed the movie a lot actually and I didn't hate the ending so that is a plus. All I really have to say about the movie is that if I woke up and I had a new husband who was sweet, romantic, beautiful, ripped, slightly artistic, a little funny dressed (you can easily change this as we have the power in the relationship) husband named Channing Tatum I so wouldn't question it memory loss or not.. I ripped this from my Facebook status so sorry if you are my friend and see this twice. If you aren't my friend then I'm glad you got to see my witty status. The Vow is now being crossed off my list..

The diner.. We have a really cool diner in Columbia called the 63 Diner. It is like a 50's themed diner where the waitresses wear poodle skirts and the whole place is decked out in retro items. My friend, Kristin, and I found this place and college and now we are addicts. The milkshakes are to die for and the special is always affordable and they give you tons of food. I went there with a co-worker and her family on Friday evening and I thought I would make everyone in the area aware of the terrific food and atmosphere. Try it out if you are in Columbia and I guarantee you that you will love it.. Cross off another item on my list..

Meltdown.. See Air conditioning.. I had several of these but they were all related to being hot.. Meltdowns where you are hot and/or hunger should not be counted towards your heaven points.. Next!!

House.. Curt and I are in the market to buy a house next spring. I had addicted to my realtor app on my phone.. It is such an awesome tool to have when buying a house plus if you are nosey, then you should try it too. You can see all the homes for sale next to you and all the photos of the inside.. Anway, we have had so many discussions on what we want in a house so here is our list so far. Hannah- Master bathroom with two sinks preferred. We have this now and honestly I couldn't/wouldn't buy a house without this unless it was perfect in every other aspect.. At least a 2 car garage.. I have never in my life had a garage until now but it is a luxury I don't want to go without.. See above about hating weather.. We have a one car garage now and props to Curt for letting me park in it while he parks outside. 3 bedroom at least.. Two bedrooms is out of the question if we want to have kiddos.. Curt- Basement.. I work in insurance so I see a lot of basement claims so I am a little leery about them so any input would be helpful. Yard.. He wants a large yard but we will see what we can get in our area.. Location and price are also a big, if not most important, factor in buying a home. We love our location now (south Columbia.. you creepers better not stalk me) so we want to stay close because of work and schools. We are willing to move to Ashland but it must be a perfect home.. Please let me know ANY advice you have in this process. If you are in Columbia, don't steal my future home or I will find you.... Next!!!

Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to Mexico in September and I can't wait.. Curt and I are going with our friends Michael and Kristin.. At first we didn't ask anyone to go with us because we didn't want to pressure people or assume about any one's financial stability but I am so glad we mentioned going to Mexico one day at a softball game where they are on the team.. They were interested and booked! I recommend to everyone who wants to travel to use a travel agent. Ours is amazing! They save you so much money because of their deals and help you along the process so much. Also, they have been most places so they have first hand experience. You will be hearing more about my trip later I am sure.. This trip has been keeping my sane for awhile.. I switched departments at my work so I went from comfortable to challenging because I am not familiar with my work. It has been an adjustment so I am looking forward for sure for a week of vacation.. Now this being said, I am very grateful to have a job and love my job so don't get the wrong vibe here. I hate when people complain about their jobs and don't see how lucky they are. I graduated college in 2010 right the midst of the economy collapse so I know how hard it is to get a job. I know so many people who couldn't get a job. I think employers should take their employees on field trips to the unemployment line every so often to keep people in check.. Whoa, major detour here!

Books.. This is to remind to me to tell you the library story.. I will only share this with you because I am an open book and I was told I had no choice but to blog this story. I was tutoring last Tuesday at the public library and afterwards I went to go check out some books. I must tell you that I have been on a reading spree as I read 5 books in a week a couple of weeks ago.. 5 books with 350+ pages a book. Go Hannah! Anywho, I was looking for a specific author so I was reading the alphabet chart at the end of the book rows and finally find my author in the o's.. I started down the aisle not looking to see if it was empty (I assumed it was...) to get my book.. I kind of bent down a bit because my book was on the second row and realized that I needed to fart.. Since no one was around I decided I was good to go so I relieved myself... However, it was very loud.. Like undeniable loud.. As soon as I was done loudly farting I realized that a little libraian sweater vested dude was sitting directly in my farts line of direction shelving books.. I noticed him because he started moving obviously knowing he just got farted on.. At this point I had to come up with a plan of action and mine was not to act like anything happened.. This poor sweater vested dude not only was he wearing a sweater vest with long sleeves in 100 degree weather and having to shelve books, he got farted all over by a stranger! He jumped up and scattered away probably mortified at his life.. I am sorry Jesus again for this whole scene.. I need to act better because hell is way to hot for ducks...

Paper towels/bathroom.. I wrote this after I was annoyed at work when people don't put their used wet paper towels in the whole cut out for trash instead only get it 1/4 in the hole and it lays on the counter.. I was obviously grouchy at this...

Library, see above story about books/farting..

I hope you enjoyed my post.. Hopefully it wasn't too much random junk bunched into one post.. I'll get to thinking of some good topics for my future posts.. My one year wedding anniversary is next Monday (July 30th) so I am sure I will have a future post on what a year of marriage can do to a girl! Thanks for reading!

Notes

I was doing what every 24 year old is doing on their Friday night, creeping on Facebook, and came across some old but hilarious notes I did over the years. I remember being in Junior High and filling out the silly forwards my girlfriends would send my in my email. I remember being all weird about the questions regarding boys.. I think it would be a fun blog post if I took the answers from back in the day and compared them to present day. Hopefully I can look at this post a couple years from now and get the same enjoyment I did today. Enjoy!

Books

Holy cow blog I have totally neglected you lately.. I must apologize for my bad behavior.. I have been cheating on you with Christian Grey..  Okay before I get into all the good stuff about Christian Grey I must take a step back.. I love, love, love to read. I don't understand how people can tell me that they just don't enjoy books. I am a firm believer that there are not many things better than a good book. I find myself wrapped up in a book until I have read every single page. I must say that I live and die through book characters. I get so, so sad when a really I have completed a really good book. It is like the characters have become my new best friends and I imagine myself as the main character. Sometimes I find myself having dreams of the characters.. I pretty much become obsessed.. Anyway, hope you enjoy my blog post today on my latest read plus some of my past reads that can't be forgotten. Enjoy!!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of the book Fifty Shades of Grey. This is how it usually goes for me.. I will hear the hype about a book and then I will resist it for awhile but I will always give in a read the book.. I have to admit, more times than not the book is usually really good! I had heard that Fifty Shades of Grey was basically like reading 400 pages of porn.. I debated for awhile asking myself do I really want to be known as that girl who is reading the naughty books? Luckily I have a Nook and I don't even have to go to a store to buy a book so no one would have to know what my eyes were wondering on.. So I started the book and boy people were right on the erotic writing. I felt a little weird hearing adults admitting they were enjoying the same book I was reading. I just tried to block that out of my mind while I was reading about naughties. I kept wondering if I was really adult enough to read this and trust me, by no means am I a pure little angel. I mean, I'm not a promiscious girl but I don't live in a box. So as I was feeling a little awkward by the book I decided that I actually really enjoyed it. It took me a little bit to admit this but it was true. I did have to giggle sometimes when I was reading a very graphic paragraph knowing the people around me had no idea what I was reading.. When I felt like being a silly duck, I would read Curt passages out of the book. I think he was happy for the book to be finished so he didn't have to hear the naughty parts but a little sad because he now doesn't get to play his video games as much as he did for the 8 days I was reading the books.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a typical romance novel though with just more graphic parts. It makes us women hate our husbands because they aren't as sweet as the fictional characters in the books. Romance novels are like the movie The Notebook, they are both fiction but all women believe men should act like this in their everyday life.. I am pretty sure if Curt started talking all sweet to me I would be weirded out or jump to an irrational conclusion of him cheating on me.. It is suprising that men haven't evolved into liking men lol. I would definitely recommend reading Fifty Shades of Grey though. It is a bit of a kick labido which is good for us ladies! Plus, you can talk to all of your girlfriends about what they are secretely reading in their beds before bedtime!

I did a complete 180 turn and borrowed 2 books from the library by Jodi Picoult. I had read a book by her before called The Pact. It was a really good read but a little sad. It was about a teenage boy being on trial for helping his girlfriend commit suicide. It was a really interesting read and I couldn't put it down. I decided to try her again with the book Vanishing Act. It was about a girl who was kidnapped by her father when she was 4 and now her father is on trial for her kidnapping 24 years after she was kidnapped. She has lived with him her whole life without knowing and her father was a really good father to her. It was interesting read also. It didn't end how I wanted but they all can't be perfect I guess. I am reading the book 19 Minutes by her now. I must say I am 102 pages into it and it is a little bit of a slow read. It is about a school shooting a very serious subject. I will keep you updated on how it is going because I will do a better job of blogging now that I have a life again after finishing my Fifty Shades of Grey series.

The Hunger Games, Twilight and Harry Potter are all series I have read. I really tried to avoid Harry Potter because a series about wizards sounded dumb to me.. I was really missing out because it may be my favorites series. I am trying to get my husband to read the series so we can talk about it but thus far he has resisted being overly nerdy and hasn't read the series. I did manage to talk him into reading The Hunger Games which he couldn't put down for weeks. Curt always obsesses over the books he reads but will tell you he didn't like it.. I think that may be a man thing.. I didn't bring up the Twilight series to him because I have no chance.. I can't even get him to watch the movies. I'm not a crazy Twilight fan but I must admit, I did enjoy the read.. I was Team Jacob though just to clarify!

I ALWAYS want suggestions on good books to read. I sometimes find myself spending hours reading comments on book in which I am thinking of downloading on my Nook. I always like to hear what my friends are reading. Drop me a comment/message on a suggestion for a new book. Who knows, it may end up as a blog post!! As always, thanks for reading.. Be safe for the 4th and if you are in a state with a drought avoid shooting off fireworks especially if my work insures in your state!

Thinking

I offically suck at keeping on top of writing my blog. I vow to do better. I have had a crazy last couple of weeks. Curt and I started playing on a softball team on Wednesday nights.. It has been a lot of fun and we actually won a game this week. This is a big deal for our team as we didn't think we would ever win a game. Winning or not, it is fun to see our friends and hang out for a couple of hours every week. Speaking of friends, my friend Kristin doesn't play softball but she does do marriage! She got married over the weekend and looked so amazing.. See below of a picture of us. She's in Italy this week so I am dying since I don't have anyone to text.. Sunday can't come soon enough!

So I was thinking about what in the heck to write in my blog. I have to confess that I have been struggling with topics. I honestly don't live that exciting of a life so sometimes I'm at a loss for good topics. I finally decided after lots of thinking to write a post on thinking.. So hopefully you enjoy my crazy random post today!

Thinking is what sets humans apart from every other creature on earth. This is usually a blessing but it can also be a curse. I am what people call an over thinker. I can find a way to make any situation a stressful one by over thinking a situation. This is probably why I found my way to insurance. I can think of every single crazy situation that can happen and I try to avoid it. Riding in a car with me is pretty much torture. I refuse to drive fast and I am a seat belt Nazi. I had to watch this video once about how people who don't wear seat belts can kill people in the vehicle who do wear seat belts by their momentum.. I am crazy basically.. Along with crazy stressful thinking I have probably some of the most random thoughts on earth.. Lucky for you this is what the blog post will focus on instead of the disadvantages of not wearing a seat belt and driving too fast!

I tried thinking about all of the crazy things I thought about today and here is my random list so far: my favorite colors, my most hated colors, how farts happen in my body, how can I talk Curt out of running, how can I get skinny while eating cake and being a fatty, why can't I figure out how to load a dishwasher, why did God make us and not find a way to avoid people having to use the restroom, etc.. As you can tell, my thoughts are very random. I would assume everyone has thoughts like this. I compare it to Facebooking really, really well.. If you are an expert creeper I guarantee you will sometime find yourself on some one's profile and wonder how in the world you got there. I get a little excitement at hitting the back button and rediscovering the path again.. I feel this is kind of like my thoughts.. Sometime I wonder how in the world I got there..

Here's an example of a random thought path of myself.. My dog Ava is really fat and lazy but she is extremely smart and she loves food.. I start off by thinking boy Ava loves food. I wonder if Ava will shake her paw with me for food (she knows how to do this but she is moody sometimes).. After she shakes I think I wonder if Ava would speak English for her favorite foods.. I wonder what Ava would say in English? I bet she would say she loves me the most.. Speaking of love, did you see New Girl last week? I loved the part where Jess danced like a duck.... Or was it chicken? I love eating chicken.. especially fried.. Remember how fun our wedding was when we had fried chicken?....... This is a normal thought pattern for me everyday..

Not only do I have random thoughts I have thoughts that contradict each other. When I am at work I tend to find myself thinking of all the fun activities I can do when I get to go home. When I am at home I find myself thinking about what happened at work and insurance forms. How old and boring am I that I am thinking about insurance forms on my free time? It is truly amazing that one single person reads my blog. I think about how I can't wait to watch my Cardinals before the game and during the game I think of how I can't believe I am wasting my time watching this stupid game.. Can you tell by my tone that the Cardinals are playing terrible lately?! One of my famous contradicting statements is that I always tell Curt that we need to run more and longer.. Then when I am running I seriously think of how I wish I was doing anything else in the world. Sometimes while I am running I think about things which are worse than running.. I have a very small list.. It usually includes giving blood, paper cuts, hanging out with cats and listening to country music.. As you can see, a very small number of things are worse.. I think about sleeping when I am awake but when I lay down to sleep all I can about is staying awake.. My brain works in funny ways.

I'm sometimes perplexed about how other people's thinking works.. I find myself thinking how in the world do you not know what you are saying is idiotic? Sometimes I say it aloud instead of thinking it.. Bad job Hannah... Sorry Jesus... I was told to embrace people's differences.. That is something that I am very, very bad at usually. I guess I need to do some more thinking on how I can understand other people's points of views better.. I mean I always tell Curt that I don't need to understand his point because my point is always right and it ends there.. :) I think if single men read this blog they would never ever get married.. I think I may have painted a quirky picture of marriage.. There i go thinking again..

Anywho, I think it is time for my blog post to end of the night.. I hope you enjoyed my very random post tonight.. I'm interested to hear anyone else's crazy thoughts.. It will make me feel better that I will have a roommate at the mental hospital.. Joke.. They probably give crazy people their own rooms :) As always, thanks for reading and I promise I will do a better job this month of updating my blog... Maybe.. :)

Relationships

Hello! Happy Sunday to everyone.. I find Sunday to be a tad depressing since it brings the end of the weekend. I always lay down on Sunday night before bed and Curt and I discuss where in the heck our weekend went and how did it go by so fast? I wish my work week went half as fast and I would be a happy duck. We had a pretty nice weekend, give or take a few moments. We had an awesome time last night hanging out with a group of our friends at a wedding reception back home. I think I am getting a little too old to have many more of awesome times like that.... Goodness! I hope everyone had a nice weekend also. The weather here in Missouri was so beautiful that it made it almost impossible to have a nice weekend if you were outside. I do have one complaint, my Cardinals are still driving up a wall by losing 7 out of 9.. Don't they know what this does to me?! Oh well, at least I am not a Cubbies fan and have to deal with a 100+ years of losing. :) Okay back to moral of my blog post. As always, I hope you enjoy! Leave a comment if you feel the need. I love getting them!

Relationships... To some this is a happy word, to some this is a naughty word but to all this is a complicated word.. If you are reading this and don't think relationships are complicated then you should stop reading now and go back to your fantasy land.  :) I think Curt and I have a pretty healthy relationship. We agree on all the big issues which are a must for a couple (kids, family, lifestyle habits, etc). It would be a lie if I told you that we agree on every small issue in life. For instance, I like to go to bed early and and Curt insists on going to be later.. After almost a year of marriage we still argue about this and if I were a betting duck I would place my duck money on this being an ongoing fight for the rest of our years together. I like eating dinner at the table while Curt likes to eat dinner at the couch. I like to be early to events and Curt likes to be beyond fashionably late.. UGH! This drives me nuts! I think being late to events is rude while he thinks it is normal.. I will admit he is getting a little better at not being late probably because of the many scoldings he has received over the past 8 years of hanging out with me.. Hopefully in the next 8 years we will be on time somewhere.. One can only hope..

I do have to admit that it is probably a little hard to be married to Hannah.. There is usually about one time every month or two when I go into what Curt calls crazy girl mode.. I totally deny it to his face but since he is not supposed to be reading this blog I will admit that it is probably true.. Take yesterday for example, we were having a really good morning. We go up and worked together great to do some tasks/projects/cleaning which we had been putting off for awhile.. I will admit it, I am so not a clean freak.. Dusting is not my best thing.. Sorry Mom.. Okay Hannah, back to the subject.. Curt and I were getting along fine all morning. I went to pick out an outfit for the wedding reception that evening and then crazy girl hit. I was in a sad mood because I didn't feel like I had anything to wear that did not make me look like a giant fat hog. I was upset by my closet to logically I asked Curt to pick out a shirt he thought I should wear.. He picked out this shirt that I had told him several times that I hated because it made me look fat and that was it. I was crazy Hannah with an emotional outburst.. It is funny now because the fight it over but you should have seen the look of confusion on his face when I started getting crazy emotional over a shirt he picked out in my closet.. I had to say that it was probably not the easiest job in the worlds to be married to me and calm me down at that moment.. It took awhile of us going through every item in my closet and then finally picking out a shirt.. If you know Curt, you know fashion is not his best thing so not only was my crying emotional self torture for him but going through my closet was just icing on top.. I don't normally apologize for being a girl but yesterday was an exception to the rule.. I still hate the clothes in my closet but I know it is not his fault and I can't take it out on him.. Another crazy girl moment in my life comes as the result of Facebook.. I can't help it when I see a girl get "just because" flowers and not want some for myself.. I sometimes get frustrated on why I am not getting "just because" flowers.. I feel like Curt should know that others girls are getting those flowers and it is simply just no fair that I don't get any.. I then put myself in the imaginary situation of getting "just because" flowers from Curt.. First, I would ask why he was sending me the flowers.. Were you on bad behavior? Is there something I should know about? Then, it would be well why did you spend that money on flowers which are going to die in a week? Is that something a young couple saving for our future should be doing right now? I then realize why Curt doesn't bring home "just because" flowers.. Honestly, just coming home to me every night should be enough.. Facebook doesn't always tell you why these girls are receiving "just because" flowers and I probably wouldn't want to be in their situations..

I have to admit that I do not believe in soul mates. I feel like you end up with the person who you are compatiable with but also who someone you are willing to make a life with for yourself. All relationships are tough and take worth from both parties involved. I think what I love most about my relationship is that I can be myself at all times and he embraces me for it instead of judging me. I think it is safe to say that Curt and I have an unique relationship.. I think I am a little bit quirky.. You could probably have guessed this by my reference to myself as a duck throughout the post. I don't know why I do this but I find it a little humorous to do it so I keep doing it.. Sometimes I play a game with Curt by talking to him in quacks and I make him guess what I am saying to him.. It is so strange but I can't stop giggling the entire time.. I like to sing songs and insert new words in them.. Normally these songs are about Curt.. Normally these songs are about Curt getting peed and pooped on.... I sang a song about him last week and nothing silly happened to him during the song and he said he didn't know how to react to the song because no bathroom activites happened to him during the song.. Sometimes in the car when we have the radio on I like to sing the songs very off tone in a loud voice to be a little stinker-Curt's words.. It is true though.. I have this crazy habit of when we come home I like to yell into each room I walk in and ask if there is a robber.. I will seriously pee myself if anyone ever answers my question with a yes.. There are probably a thousand other quite frankly strange things I do but I am very lucky to have a relationship with a man who lets me do each and every quirky items..

I hope to have a quirky yet solid relationship with Curt for the rest of my life. I know it will take lots and lots of work, patience and love. I know there will be lots of times where it will be easier to be grouchy than to remember to be nice to your significant other because they are there for you no matter what.. Even if the situation is when you feel like a cow in your clothes, where you are buying your first big boy and girl car (this wasn't the best day of our lives but thankfully we made it through with the help of our bro in law Justin who has had much more experience to be an adult than us), buying your first house ($100k is a lot of money to spend and thus results in stress), watching your Cardinals lose.... again.., or hopefully having your first child..

I hope you enjoyed my crazy blog post tonight. Hopefully I didn't scare anyone away and will come back for more. Leave a comment if you have a suggestion for a topic to be covered in the next coming weeks. As always, thanks for reading!

Mumbo Jumbo

Hello everyone! If you are reading this tonight you are having about as exciting of Saturday night as me. :) I actually think being at home writing a blog on a Saturday night isn't too shabby.. This also means I am seriously getting old.. I guess time is on a 2000 plus winning streak so why fight it.. I mean getting old and writing blogs on a Saturday night beats the alternative of not getting older.. Anywho, I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I just watched my older brother graduate medical school which will probably be my first and last medical school graduation. Congrats to everyone who made it through 4 years of hell/medical school. I am lucky enough this weekend to have a 3 day weekend. Curt and I are going to the zoo and Cardinals game on Sunday with my doctor brother, his wife and their daughter.. I'm very excited! I can't wait to see the penguins on Monday.. The last time Curt and I went to the zoo we saw two penguins making a little baby penguin.. It was a giggle moment to say the least.. :) Anywho, I will warn you the rest of the blog will be very random so read at your own risk..

Treat others as you would want to be treated.. I think this is a golden rule that most people try to live their life around.. It seems to be a pretty straightforward rule and honestly shouldn't be that complicated..I am not a perfect duck.. I find myself violating this standard rule everyday. I say grouchy things to people.. Usually these grouchy statements are made from lack of sleep but they are grouchy nonetheless. I have said grouchy things in the past 20 minutes while watching the Cardinal game.. I may have not so nicely asked Adam Wainwright why he was having such a hard time finding the strike zone.. You may want to insert a couple of even grouchier words.. I struggle with not being able to keep my bothers from work at work where they belong.. If I have a hard day at work, I will sometimes jump down Curt's throat just because he is here. I don't take two seconds to ask myself what would I do if he did this to me? You bet it would not be a very pretty scene.. Luckily, Curt is NOT tightly wound at all.. I am pretty sure that I am tightly wound enough for both of us.. This is honestly one of the most important aspects of our relationship.. If he was like me then I am pretty sure it would be like a volcano hitting a tornado.. I totally ripped that line from Eminem but it is true. I am currently struggling with a person who gets under my skin every time I see this person.. I can't seem to find a way to overlook things in which I should be able to do.. The poster below describes the situation.. Warning.. I don't know how to edit the bad words out so beware.. Sorry Jesus.

Pinned Image
This pretty much sums up my situation.. The person has done a few things to hurt my feeling and now I pick at everything the person does.. I would have to say this is not treating someone as I would like to be treated.. I need to do a better job at being a nicer duck and not being a judgemental crazy person..

I lead into this to a pitch for equality.. I am usually conservative and don't get into too much politics because I honestly have views all over the place. I have some Republican views which I am not willing to change and I have some Democratic views in which I am not willing to change either. I promise I won't get into many of those tonight but there is one I truly want to state my opinion on so I can feel a little better.. Remember, this blog was started for therapy so here it goes. I am very happy to live in a country who finally had a president who has finally endorsed gay marriage. Am I a huge Obama supporter?-No.. Am I a really a Democrat? No.. Am I gay? Not that I know of but if the right woman comes around then oh baby, oh baby ;).. jk.. maybe.. ;).. Do I know many gay people? No.. I think I may know one.. So then why am I a supporter of gay marriage if it doesn't concern me at all? Because I believe everyone should be treated as you would want to be treated regardless of their sexual orientation.. No one chooses to be gay.. Why would someone? People are terrible to gay people and our own government won't even give them equal rights.. Did I choose to be straight? No... Last time I checked we should have a complete separation of church and state.. If we are going to bring in what the bible says then maybe we should bring the Koran into the discussion also.. I haven't heard a non-religious argument on why we shouldn't allow everyone equal rights.. If your church doesn't want to marry people who are of the same sex then that is their choice but the government should not have a say in the matter. Also, what are you going to say if your child or grandchild states they are gay? I saw a sign that states straight people keep having gay children.. Just think about it..

I promise I won't have anymore political blog posts anytime soon.. I just am very passionate about allowing every tax payer, every person to have the rights they deserve in this great country. Maybe next week I can make a blog about how I hate the stupid water saver item in shows because of the those darn democrats.. :) I will say I have been trying very, very hard not to think or say things I wouldn't want to be said to me against the Cardinals as they are losing 5-0.....

Thanks for reading my random/venting blog tonight.. Leave a comment if you have any request for a blog topic in the near future.. If you are a Cardinal player and see this, please try and win so I don't stroke out trying to keep my mouth shut about your performance..

Trivia

Hello!! It has been awhile since I checked in.. To say I have been busy may be an understatement.. I do have to give a shoutout to my older brother Morgan, who does not at all read my blog, about graduating medical school on Saturday.. Dr. Morgan Schiermeier M.D.. Yeah!! I am ready for him to start writing prescriptions so I will never ever go to a real non-brother doctor again.. I find this hilarious as I am currently taking 0 prescriptions now and haven't in the past couple of years because I have a pretty decent immune system and when I do get sick I feel like I can beat it myself without any help.. Oh well.. I honestly had no idea what to blog about this week.. I apparently did not take enough baths this week. I decided that since I am not able to think that I would enlighten you with one of my favorite things, trivia!!! I hope you enjoy and maybe learn a little along the way.. Btw, if you have ANY suggestions on what to blog about next please leave a comment here or on Facebook.. My sister suggested I write a blog about my childhood but that may take a year or two to prepare.. One day I will let everyone know all the crazy things I did as a kiddo.. I just don't think the blogging world is ready for the life of Hannah Schiermeier yet.. :)

What's the most non-contagious disease in the world? Tooth Decay.... I believe dentists should advertise this fact a little more. I would so not have waited 13 years between dentist visits if I knew this little tidbit..

What lake is the only lake in the world which has sharks? This question is for Kristin.. Answer...Lake Nicaragua in the Republic of Nicaragua.. I bet you thought you were safe by swimming in a lake and then it is a gotcha kind of moments where you pee in the lake bc you didn't expect a shark to be in the lake with you..

Which state in the USA only has one syllable? Maine... Very random

What is the only word in the English language which ends in "mt"? Dreamt.. I almost blogged about dreaming tonight so I had to include this today..

Does a duck's quack echo? I obviously included this because I am a duck and I knew the answer to this because I obviously quack all the time.. The answer is that it does echo! *quack quack*

What percentage of people lie daily? 91%.... Wow.. People suck.. I am not going to lie, I may have lied today.... Think about this.... :)

I just found this funny so it I had to include it...When the University Of Nebraska plays a sellout home football game, the stadium becomes the state's third largest city......

What is the only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter? uncopyrightable... Your mission for the day should be to use this word in a sentence today :)

What would Barbie's measurements be if she was a real life girl? 39-22-33.. Oh my word... I bet she would have a HORRIBLE time finding clothes..

Before the introduction of the hair dryer in 1920, what common household appliance was promoted for its hair dryer ability? A vacuum cleaner! Omg! And I thought using a scortching hot flat iron was bad for my hair.. Haha

What was the first living creature ever ejected from a supersonic aircraft? A bear, in 1962.. It parachuted from 35,000 ft to safe landing on earth.. I think the next logical question is why was the earth ejected from an aircraft? Why was a bear on an aircraft in a position to be ejected? Who put the parachute on the bear? This is such a weird senario..

Why does the Bronx Zoo get blood daily from a local slaughterhouse? To feed its vampire bats.. Curt got this trivia question right.. He is full of random knowledge about all sorts of animals..

For what magazine did Hugh Hefner serve as a circulation manager while he was raising money to start Playboy? Children's Activities Magazines.... I wonder if the kids reading Children's Activities graduated to reading Hefner's next magazine.. He got their money twice.. Good marketing Hugh..

Finally, what problem did Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Eidson and General George Patton all have in common? aixelsyd

I hope you enjoyed my very random blog post.. Leave a comment on a suggestion for a blog post so my blog doesn't die so soon.. That would be sad!
